There is an air of mystery about Priest and Prophet. The left panel, Priest, represents repression and containment; the right panel, Prophet represents liberation and release. It is a diptych in which the symbolic use of color and materials emphasize concept: pure white but fleshy silicone, yellow body fluids, and valuable gleaming gold. The color tone of each panel varies slightly, with a darker, cool tone on the left, and a warm, fleshy pink tone on the right. In the center of each panel sits a vertical mons pubis, each containing its own treasure. On the left, tight visible stitching traps a vial of semen and on the right, horizontal blobs and drips are allowed to burgeon and break free.
